FibreSpeed is a key initiative of the Welsh Assembly Government
Fibrespeed Wales Transit
Fibrespeed Wales is a £30 million investment project which will provide a regional fibre-optic ‘trunk' network in North Wales and will initially link up to 14 strategic business parks throughout the region with advanced, high-speed connectivity services at greatly reduced prices.
Comms Management already support many Welsh Businesses via our ADSL Max broadband services, Leased Lines, Wireless point-point and MultiPoint connectivity and expect to be one of the first providers to use and provide the Fibrespeed network within Wales.
Entry level FibreSpeed access services for small businesses will start at 10mbit synchronous 10:1 contended (i.e. upload and download at 10mbit). Speeds up to 100mbit will be available at contention ratios from 10:1 through to 1:1).
The WDA released the following list of business parks to be serviced by Fibrespeed Wales in 2008.
